Dear doctoral candidates,
dear doctoral candidates,
dear faculty members, dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to this year's Doctoral Researcher Day on November 13, 2025. You can look forward to an afternoon full of inspiration, exchange and networking - with exciting perspectives on research and doctoral studies at our department.

Lisa Niendorf, educational researcher and science communicator, who is known to many through her work on Instagram as "FrauForschung", among other things, will kick things off. In her lecture "Doctoral studies in the mirror of power - supervision, dependency and scope for action", she will shed light on key issues relating to supervision, dependencies and power structures in academia. Afterwards, we would like to engage in a panel discussion with representatives of various status groups: How are supervisory relationships structured in the doctoral phase? Where are the opportunities, where are the challenges?

In the second part of the event (Doctoral Award Ceremony), awards will be presented and honored to doctoral candidates who have successfully completed their doctorate this year. The final get-together offers the opportunity to exchange ideas over dinner in a relaxed atmosphere.

Dear members of our faculty, doctoral candidates and PhDs,

we would like to cordially invite you to this year's Doctoral Researcher Day on November 13, 2025. Join us for an afternoon full of inspiring impulses, exchange, and networking - with diverse perspectives on research and doctoral studies at our faculty.

The event will begin with a keynote by Lisa Niendorf, educational researcher and science communicator, widely known for her work as "FrauForschung" on Instagram. In her talk, "Doctoral Studies through the Lens of Power - Supervision, Dependency, and Agency" she will address key questions around supervision relationships, dependencies, and power dynamics within academia. The keynote will be followed by a panel discussion featuring representatives of a university's various status groups. Together, we will discuss how supervision relationships are shaped during the doctoral phase and explore both opportunities and challenges.

The second part (Doctoral Award Ceremony) of the event will include the awards and recognitions for doctoral researchers who have successfully completed their PhD this year. The event will conclude with a get-together including informal dinner and networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
