From 28 June to 1 July, researchers from our Chair participated in the Annual Conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists in Rimini, Italy. Alongside more than 700 other researchers, they presented their own research and discussed other participants’ work. Contributions came from a wide range of topics relevant to environmental economics, such as air and water pollution, social norms and pro-environmental behavior, public goods, cooperation, energy, and climate change. The conference also included Keynotes from high-level speakers such as the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance, Mr. Daniele Franco, the British biodiversity expert Sir Partha Dasgupta, and Nobel prize laureate Lars Peter Hansen. Represented by researchers from the Chairs of Empirical Economic Research, Microeconomics and Empirical Energy Economics, Environmental and Resource Economics, and our Chair, the University of Kassel formed one of the largest delegations at the conference.
