12th DBfK symposium "Nursing education in discourse"
Last Friday (March 6), the Department of Vocational and Business Education took part in the 12th DBfK conference "Nursing Education in Discourse" at Düsseldorf University Hospital. The conference once again brought together numerous stakeholders from nursing schools, practice, science and associations and provided a valuable platform for an exchange on current developments in nursing education. The keynote speeches by Professor Wolfgang von Gahlen-Hoops, Professor Ursula Hübner and Professor Heidi Kuckeland, who addressed key issues relating to professionalization, skills development and digitalization in nursing education, were particularly interesting.
In the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to attend the workshop "Against stress, resilience for nurses & teachers". The lively discussion about stress patterns in everyday nursing and nursing education as well as strategies for strengthening individual and organizational resources offered several points of contact and impulses for research in the field.
In addition to the professional impulses, the discussions during the breaks and between the sessions were also very enriching. It is precisely this informal scientific exchange that makes such formats particularly valuable for us. At this point, best wishes to the colleagues from HS Fulda!
Many thanks to the DBfK (German Professional Association for Nursing Professions) and the team at the Education Centre at Düsseldorf University Hospital for organizing this successful conference!
