Have you ever experienced self-doubt because others seem to know much more than you? Here is a piece of comfort by Friedrich Hayek: "What preserved me from developing an acute feeling of inferiority in the company of those more efficient scholars was that I knew that I owed whatever worth-while new ideas I ever had to not possessing their capacity, i.e. to often not being able to remember what every competent specialist is supposed to have at his fingertips." This quote is from his short essay "Types of Mind".

We run the Graduate School in Economic Behavior and Governance (GS EBGo)
GS EBGo features courses taught by renowned international experts, and doctoral students present their ongoing research at the GS EBGo seminar. A Junior Researcher Award recognizes outstanding publications written by our doctoral students. Successful completion of the GS EBGo program is certified. See here for more details.

We are partner of the MAGKS program
Our doctoral students benefit from MAGKS, an inter-university graduate program comprised of six German universities - Philipps University Marburg, RWTH Aachen, Justus-Liebig-University Gießen, Georg-August-University Göttingen, the University of Kassel and the University of Siegen. It provides advanced education at the doctoral level and research support for beginning doctoral scholars.
