Dr. Christoph Bühren is Lecturer at the Institute of Economics and Research Fellow at the chairs of Environmental and Behavioral Economics as well as Applied Microeconomics. In 2006, he received a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Würzburg. The following two years, Christoph worked in a project funded by the German Research Association on preference measurement for innovative products at the University of Jena, where he obtained his doctorate of economics in 2010. Since 2009, he has been working at the University of Kassel. Between 2011 and 2013, Christoph was Interim Professor for Industrial and Behavioral Economics (W2) at the Helmut-Schmidt-University Hamburg and in 2014 for Behavioral Economics (W3) also at the HSU. From 2019 until 2021, he was Interim Professor for Economics at Clausthal University of Technology. His research interest is applied behavioral economics, especially in environmental and sports Economics.

Dr. Christoph Bühren will be interim professor for sports management at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in the summer semester 2022 and winter semester 2022/2023.
