Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister among the top 40 most research-intensive business administration professors

As part of the current Handelsblatt Business Economist Ranking 2012, the publications of more than 3,000 economists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland over the last five years were analyzed. Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister is ranked 31st among the most research-intensive business administration professors and seventh among researchers under 40 years of age.

In the ranking of the 100 most research-intensive business economists based on publication output over the last 5 years, Prof. Dr. Leimeister is ranked 31st, having climbed eight places compared to the 2009 business administration ranking. In the group of researchers under 40 years of age, Leimeister is in seventh place in the current ranking and has thus moved up 15 places compared to 2009. The current Handelsblatt-Betriebswirte Ranking 2012 analyzes the publication performance of more than 3,000 academics from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The ranking is based on publications in 950 journals, the quality of which is assessed using various indicators.

The current Handelsblatt ranking also includes the ranking of the 250 best business academics according to their life's work - measured by their publication output since the start of their career. Prof. Leimeister is ranked104th here.

The 2012 ranking and the associated list of journals are compiled for Handelsblatt by the KOF Swiss Economic Institute at ETH Zurich.
