Welcome to

Chirality and Fluorescence

Investigating chiral molecules is an interdisciplinary field comprising chemistry, physics, biology and pharmacy.

The junior research group "Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy" started in October 2015. Our goal is to further extend the use of methods from atomic physics to the investigation of chiral molecules. These activities are in close collaboration with the LOEWE focus ELCH (Electron dynamics of chiral systems).

An important part of our resources is dedicated to teaching activities within the faculty.

Starting in August 2017, Dr. Martin Pitzer is working as a post-doctoral fellow at the Weizmann Institut of Science (Rehovot, Israel).
