My research focuses on biodiversity in freshwater ecosystems, ranging from molecules to individual species and entire communities. I am particularly interested in the impacts of human activities such as climate change, habitat loss, pollution, and biological invasions.
Collaborating with authorities, conservation organizations, industry, and academic partners, I develop participatory management solutions to raise awareness and promote the protection of freshwater biodiversity.
In my work, I utilize modern molecular ecological methods to gain scientific insights and develop practical solutions for the conservation of these ecosystems. My goal is to connect science and society, contributing to the necessary socio-ecological transformation.
