At the open day, visitors were able to try insect bars and write down on a large mind map why they would (not) eat insects. After some initial scepticism, most of them tried the protein bar with ground buffalo worms - and found it surprisingly tasty. The ALM department is investigating consumer acceptance of insect-based foods as part of the New Food Systems project.
