Sue is a PhD student and research assistant in the International Agriculture Policy and Environmental Governance section at Kassel University. She received her Bachelor degree in Agronomy in Taiwan and master degree in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of Hohenheim. She worked as an intern at the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) – Organics International and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ). During her internship at IFOAM, she contributed to a project fostering the agroecological transition in the Himalayas by developing a joint policy roadmap. For her Master's thesis, she assessed agricultural advisory services in Rwanda to support the agroecological transition by examining the communication methods and knowledge needs of smallholder farmers. At GIZ, she supported the advisory work of German international cooperation projects in the agricultural sector. 

Sue’s research interests are agroecological governance, agricultural advisory services, and food sovereignty in Sub-Saharan Africa.
