B.A. Dryden Schoepel

Since October 2024 Dryden is studying AGES (Agriculture, Ecology and Societies) Master's degree at the University of Kassel in Witzenhausen. He is particularly interested in the nutrition related topics, being passionate about the aspects of food policy and food security. In 2023, Dryden completed his Bachelor's degree in linguistics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (USA). Prior to that, he has been continuously working on the topic of value chains and their challenges, which allowed him to discover his second passion. Dryden travelled to Germany to further his education in this area. In Witzenhausen, he set up a Slow Food Youth division, which is committed to sourcing and making accessible (mostly) regional products from the Witzenhausen community. Since May 2025 Dryden is part of the Section’s team assisting in the NEUE WEGE project and the "Food Cultures on Campus" project.
