Experimental Design

The experiment represents twelve organic farming systems – ranging from stockless to livestock-based systems. Each system differs in terms of crop rotation and features three fertilization treatments, as well as an unfertilized control variant, where legume-grass mixtures are mulched. In the livestock-free systems, different clover-grass transfer strategies are the focus, while in the simulated mixed farming system, the fertilization treatments are characterized by different livestock densities.
