The purpose of the project is to investigate the response of Daucus carota, a field vegetable of high demand for sufficient supply of potassium, towards different K fertilisers and quantities. The K sources are K sulfate, K-Mg-sulfate and green compost. All fertilisers are applied at a level of 100 kg K2O ha-1 and compared with an unamended control. K sulfate is also applied on levels of  50 and 150 kg K2O ha-1. A second factor of the trial is the application of nitrogen in form of  Phytoperl, a plant based fertilser (60 kg N ha-1). Parameters of test will be yield of roots and leaves and the content of K, Mg and carotene.
