The Department of Organic Food Quality and Food Culture offers comprehensive and diverse educational courses in both Bachelor and Master study programmes. The department is in partnership and cooperation with University of Applied Sciences in Fulda and University of Göttingen to offer two unique International Master study programmes, which are MSc. International Food Business & Consumer Studies (IFBC) and MSc. Sustainable International Agriculture (SIA) respectively. 

In addition, the department and DITSL (German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture) offer a two-week intensive module in Quality Management for Organic Products (6 ECTS) (WS 2014/15). This module focuses on the topics of quality management, marketing organic products and the guidelines of the European Union - Regulation - 2092/91.  The participants of this module will have the opportunity to experience the practical experience of conducting a business plan for organic products. 

In the field of Food Culture, the faulty focuses on nutritional and ecological aspects of processes related to quality control (e.g. life cycle assessment).  The methods and analysis for nutritional behaviour are investigated by concentrating the assessment of ecological and social questions. 

Additionally, there are study courses on Human Sensory Analysis as a method of quality assessment and evaluation. The scientific topic of Sensory Science connects the field of Food Quality and Food Culture.

In November, the department also provides a weekend seminar on the topic of Multivariate Data Analysis (CAMO) within the framework of Product Development module (WS 2014/15: 29./30.11.2014).
