Please note: In view of the dynamic development, adjustments to the regulations are possible at any time.

Dear students,

during these special pandemic period, you should not, as far as possible, be disadvantaged by ongoing examinations. The following regulations are fixed additionally to the General Regulations:

Please observe the following rules:

  • Please come in good health only.
  • At the campus: keep a distance of 1.5m;  keep paths and entrances clear; carry out hand hygiene
  • Mouth and nose protection (medicin or FFP2-mask): required in the building and at the seat; required outdoors if the distance is less than 1,5m; required as passenger in university vehicles.

Written exams will take place in presence in the usual examination periods.

  • Please arrive 15-20min earlier to avoid queues
  • use of toilets: if possible before and after the test; during the exams also possible
  • at the seat: drinking is possible, food no

Will take place in Witzenhausen normally in presence. Upon justified request to the examination board (per Mail an studsek[at]wiz.uni-kassel[dot]de) these can exceptionally take place as video conferences (via Zoom for trustful meetings). For video conferences see following obligatory regulations.


The submission in print or digital form is possible and decided between student and supervisor. The printed report can be sent by post. In Witzenhausen submission is possible in the post box Nordbahnhofstraße. In a digital version a declaration of autonomy with signature is also necessary to include.

In Witzenhausen submission is possible in the Student office, Steinstraße. Alternatively, the copies can be sent by mail and registered mail. 

Valid from May 2020 until further notice, the following is confirmed with the registration: "I and my supervisors are aware that the current restrictions on access to literature or field/laboratory surveys due to the corona pandemic may affect my work and that the regular processing deadlines of the examination regulations still apply. Extension requests can only be made in cases of hardship or illness."


The General Provisions for Examination Regulations have been amended several times by the Senate, recently in December 2021: examinations not passed in the summer semester 2020, winter semester 2020/21, summer semester 2021 and winter semester 2021/22, with the exception of theses, are deemed not to have been taken. Examination registration for one time possible grade improvement of an examination passed in the summer semester 2020 had to be done by 30.09.2021 at the latest, after which this option is forfeited. For the winter semester 2020/21, the corresponding deadline is 31.03.2022; for the summer semester 2021, this deadline is 30.09.2022; for the winter semester 2021/22, it is 31.03.2023.

In the summer semester 2020, in the winter semester 2020/21, in the summer semester 2021 and in the winter semester 2021/22, examinations, including theses and oral supplementary examinations, that have been assessed as definitively failed may be repeated once again. This does not apply to cheating.
