Kurzprofil
Nora Schütze is a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Section of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance. She works in the GIZ-funded research project GovSoil on soil and water conservation in rainfed agriculture in Tunisia. The project evaluates on the one hand the role of policies, policy coherence and institutions for interrelated soil and water protection in Tunisia. In the second part of the project, the focus is on the development of an interdisciplinary curriculum for sustainable agriculture, with an emphasis on soil and water protection.
Before, she has worked in the research project STEER (Increasing Good Governance for Achieving the Objectives of Integrated Water Resources Management) which analyzed the influence of governance and management systems on the effectiveness of coordination and cooperation in integrated and adaptive water management.
In her doctoral thesis, Nora analyzes whether and how different forms of cross-sectoral and cross-level coordination between the water and agricultural sector in three Spanish river basins can explain differences in the performance of polycentric governance systems.
