Mideksa Fufa Jilito

Mr. Mideksa Fufa Jilito is a visiting scholar in the section of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance, Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences, University of Kassel. Before joining the section, he was a lecturer and researcher at Haramaya University, School of Rural Development and Agricultural Innovation, Ethiopia. His research focuses on food security and systems, water governance and management, rural livelihoods, agricultural extension, and gender. During his visit, Mr. Mideksa is writing his PhD research entitled “Multistakeholder Partnerships and Governance for Ensuring Food and Nutrition Security in Ethiopia”, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Thiel. In addition to writing his thesis, he is taking part in the section’s meetings, retreat program, workshops, and seminars. He is also attending courses and modules offered by the staff of the section to support his research and broaden his knowledge.
