Student award for the best degree in the field of civil and environmental engineering

Ms. Jasmin Hanke, B.Sc. was awarded the prize for the best degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the graduation ceremony on 13 October. She chose civil engineering for her plusMINT course after the orientation phase. She completed her Bachelor's thesis with very good results in the Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry. In her B.Sc. thesis, she investigated how the reactivity of processed incinerator bottom ash can be increased for its use as a cement substitute. Her results continue the scientific investigations of a project funded by the Deutsche Sitzung Umwelt (DBU) and deepen the findings on the reactivity of incinerator bottom ash.
