Presentations at the Euroseminar on Microscopy Applied to Building Materials (EMABM) in Helsinge, Denmark

From June 14 to 17, Denis Kosenko and Dr. Alexander Wetzel attended the Euroseminar on Microscopy Applied to Building Materials (EMABM) in Helsinge, Denmark. Since our department will be hosting this biennial conference in Kassel in 2024, this year’s event once again offered interesting insights into current research topics related to the microscopic examination of building materials.

During the seminar, Mr. Kosenko presented on the topic “Superplasticizer adsorption in alkaline-activated materials,” and Dr. Wetzel presented on “Superplasticizer adsorption on C₃A surfaces,” sharing the latest findings from the field of fluorescence microscopy analysis. The focus was on investigating the interactions of superplasticizers in mineral binder systems (see DFG project).

The next conference will take place in two years in Brno, Czech Republic.
