Abstract

Ms. Daniela Masarczyk reports on the invitation workshop Topology Optimization on June 5 and 6, 2025 of the Collaborative Research Centre 1683 "Methods of interaction for the modular reuse of existing load-bearing structures" and the Research Group Linkage Programme funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation between Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Hackl (RUB) and Prof. Dr. Hung Nguyen-Xuan (Center for Interdisciplinary Research Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology). The workshop took place on June 5 and 6 at the Ruhr University Bochum (RUB).

In her presentation, Ms. Masarczyk will report on topics of the workshop and derive trends in topology optimization. Furthermore, she will reflect on her own research contribution in this workshop and talk about specific aspects of topology optimization in civil engineering.
