The University of Kassel celebrates its 50th birthday in 2021.

While it was previously regarded primarily as "young", it can now look back on five decades of development. The comprehensive university of the 1970s has matured into a university and has gained a lot of experience and undergone many changes in five decades of university development.

To mark this anniversary, a special exhibition is being held in the City Museum with the motto "Today for tomorrow", which provides insights into the discoveries and research focuses of the University of Kassel.

Our department is also represented with an exhibition area that introduces visitors to "Kassel high-performance concrete" - UHPC (ultra high performance concrete) and "DysCrete", a UHPC with a special coating that generates electricity from solar energy.
