Prof. Middendorf gave a lecture at the 22nd tubag Renovation Forum on October 2, 2025 in Koblenz on the topic of lime in monument preservation - ecological solutions for a sustainable future.

The aim of the annual renovation forum is to present the latest material knowledge and its implementation in practice. Sustainability plays a particularly important role in the preservation of historical monuments.

In his presentation, Prof. Middendorf went into more detail on the possible applications of lime mortars with formulated limes [DIN 459-1] in the preservation of historical monuments and reported on their properties and also presented successful application results on historical masonry.
