New Publication: “Perspectives and Real-World Experiments for the Transformation of Urban and Rural Areas”
Two projects from our department are also featured in the documentation for the SDG+ Lab’s theme year, “Transformations in City and Countryside.” The publication brings together eight real-world experiments in which departments at the University of Kassel, together with partners from the city and region, have tested new approaches to sustainable urban development.
An overview of our contributions:
- Waldestelle: The temporary greening of the Achenbachstraße transit stop, in cooperation with the KVG, made public transit a tangible link between the city, the countryside, and nature.
- Girls Shape the City: Girls between the ages of 10 and 15 developed and built their own urban furniture on a vacant lot in Forstfeld during idea and construction workshops.
The publication is available for download here.
