On April 30, a 15-member DAAD student group from Colombia visited the University of Kassel. The group of civil engineers from the University of Cauca, Popayán were given an overview of the University of Kassel and the study opportunities within the framework of the summer and winter university by the International Office. After a campus tour and lunch, Dean and Head of Department Prof. Middendorf welcomed the group. He introduced Faculty 14 and the department with study and research opportunities. Prof. Obando, head of the Colombian group, and his students reported on Colombia in general and on the University of Cauca in particular. This was followed by an informative tour of the materials laboratories, the central clamping field and the hydraulic engineering hall. After a farewell, the visit of the very friendly and open-minded group from Colombia came to an end.
