The transitional period of the Amtliche Materialprüfanstalt für das Bauwesen (AMPA) at the University of Kassel has come to an end. Dr.-Ing. Viola Koch will take over the technical management of AMPA permanently from 01.08.2022. Ms. Justyna Janowski will also return to the AMPA in September 2022 from her part-time parental leave and will then also take over tasks in the management team again.

After studying civil engineering at the University of Kassel, Dr.-Ing. Koch completed her doctorate in the field of construction materials and construction chemistry and then worked for several years in the private sector at various construction companies in positions of responsibility. From 2020, Dr.-Ing. Koch worked on a research project on the development and application of special concretes at the Department of Construction Materials and Construction Chemistry and also worked in a national joint project on monument preservation issues relating to concrete restoration, which she would like to expand on in her future AMPA activities.
