Presentations at an International Conference in Munich – 17th WCCM & 10th ECCOMAS Congress

As part of the international conference “17th World Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM) & 10th European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering (ECCOMAS)” in Munich (July 19–24, 2026), the Institute of Structural Analysis will present its latest research findings in the areas of stress analysis in rigid bodies, the FE² method for structural models with discrete microstructure, and the decomposition of internal forces into stiffness-ratio-independent and stiffness-ratio-dependent quantities. The WCCM is one of the world’s largest conferences in the field of numerical mechanics and thus offers a great opportunity to present the research findings to a world-wide audience. The titles and presenters are:

J. Boungard, J. Wackerfuß
Novel Two-step Method to Compute Stresses in Rigid Bodies Connected to a Deformable Domain

J. Gade, J. Wackerfuß
An Additive Split of Internal Forces for the Design of Load-Carrying Behavior of Frame Structures

J. Ochs, J. Wackerfuß
“Multiscale Modeling of Shell Structures with Lattice-Like Microstructures”
