The symposium served more as a forum for the ‘exchange of ideas’ (R. Hasse) than for the presentation of research results, and it focused on topics that Georg Krücken has ‘brilliantly addressed’ (A. Kosmützky).

With this in mind, speakers and audience members engaged in open discussions on the topics of individual actors, organisational actors, the state as an actor, and cross-actor linkages and relations. 

The subsequent community memorial in honour of Georg Krücken as a researcher, teacher, colleague and friend, with contributions from many good friends, was a very moving highlight of the day.
