INCHER colloquium: Researcher independence - conceptualization, measurement, and implications for research funding.

Dr. Torger Möller, Deutsches Zentrum für Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsforschung [DZHW], Berlin

On the other hand, research is increasingly characterized by collaborations. How to bring this ambivalence of researcher independence into a coherent concept and how to measure it? Does the degree of independence have an impact on funding decisions and scientific careers?
