Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus David
Alongside Prof. Dr Alexander Roßnagel and Prof. Dr Udo Winand, Prof. Dr Klaus David is one of the three founding members who initiated the ITeG research centre at the University of Kassel in 2005 in order to intensify interdisciplinary research and help IT systems gain the necessary acceptance, avoid adverse effects and open up desirable application opportunities. From 2014 to the end of 2017, Professor David was the spokesperson for the LOEWE Research Cluster Social Link ‘Always Online?’. Since January 2025, he has once again been the spokesperson for the new LOEWE Research Cluster “DyNaMo”.
Based on fundamental research, our vision is to contribute to solving relevant societal challenges (particullarly digitalisation) through context sensitivity and improved use of innovative mobile applications.
The research of the Chair for Communication Technology from the University of Kassel focusses on innovative technologies and applications that address challenges in mobility, healthcare, e-learning, digital work, smart cities, and the future of the internet. A particular emphasis is placed on the development and use of context-based applications, supported by artificial intelligence (AI) and enhanced mobile experiences.
