Prof. Dr. oec. Jan Marco Leimeister

Prof. Dr Jan Marco Leimeister has been a member of the ITeG research centre – the Research Centre for Information Systems Design (ITeG) since October 2014 – at the University of Kassel since 2008. He took over as head of the Department of Information Systems at the University of Kassel from Prof. Dr Udo Winand in 2008.

His research group deals with information systems in business, society and administration. It is an interface discipline between business administration, computer science and engineering. The research work in the field of business informatics is characterised by its closeness to application, design orientation and the integration of economic, technical and social aspects. The focus is not only on explaining and analysing reality, but also on designing innovations.
