Prof. Dr. Oliver Hohlfeld
Professor Dr Oliver Hohlfeld has been a member of the Research Centre for Information Systems Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel since August 2023.
The Internet is the largest distributed system ever built by humans. Our mission is to empirically understand and optimize the Internet – this is a systemic and interdisciplinary challenge. The sociotechnical perspective with which the ITeG works offers a great opportunity for this.
Professor Hohlfeld has headed the Distributed Systems Research Group at the University of Kassel since October 2022. The research and teaching activities of his group are concerned with the design principles of modern network and distributed systems, as well as their security aspects and valuation of user perception.
