Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Bernhard Sick
Prof. Dr Bernhard Sick has been a member of the Research Centre for Information Systems Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel since 2018. In research and teaching, the Intelligent Embedded Systems (IES) department focuses on the question of how methods of data analysis, machine learning and artificial intelligence can be used to develop new types of technical systems.
We make technical systems intelligent. And this includes intelligent interaction and cooperation between digital systems and human users.
The IES team is investigating how information technology systems can be designed to be as user-friendly and useful as possible. Third-party funders include the DFG, the BMBF and BMWi and the Hessenagentur. The technologies developed are used in particular in the fields of energy systems, automotive and transport, materials and physics and the evaluation of start-ups.
