M.A. Thesis Research Grant Program
for Social Sciences & Organic Agricultural Sciences
The International Center for Development and Decent Work (ICDD) is a global multidisciplinary network of eight partner universities on four continents with its head office at the University of Kassel (Germany). It cooperates closely with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and various non-governmental organizations.
The ICDD contributes to the global fight against hunger and poverty through research and education on the Sustainable Development Goal #8 to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all. A special focus lies thereby on the world’s 805 million people living in rural areas who face food insecurity.
The ICDD offers annually eight research grants for students of both, Social and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kassel in the topic area of Decent Work.
The grant is exclusively awarded for field research in DAC* countries in preparation for a Master thesis and covers international travel costs (up to 850€) as well as a field research grant (500€) for up to three months.
The Thesis Research Grant Program supports students whose research contributes to the global fight against hunger and poverty as well as to the <link http: www.uni-kassel.de einrichtungen international-center-for-development-and-decent-work-icdd research.html>ICDD's Research Agenda 2015-2019.
