Matthias Hügel

Seit April 2023 ist Matthias Hügel als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Internationalen Zentrum für Hochschulforschung (INCHER) sowie am Fachgebiet für Wirtschaftspolitik, Innovation und Entrepreneurship der Universität Kassel tätig.

Sein Bachelorstudium der Wirtschaftspädagogik an der Universität Mannheim schloss er 2016 ab, gefolgt von einem 2018 abgeschlossenen Masterstudium in International Economy and Business an der Andrássy Universität Budapest. Von 2018 bis 2023 arbeitete Matthias Hügel als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Mikroökonomik der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena.

Seine Forschungsinteressen umfassen die Economics of Innovation, Economics of Science und Regional Economics. Im Zuge seiner Promotion untersucht Matthias Hügel die Prozesse des Wissens- und Technologietransfers zwischen Hochschulen, Forschungseinrichtungen und dem industriellen Sektor.
