Lukas Flinzberger works as a scientific staff member at the chair of socio-ecological interactions in agricultural systems at the University of Göttingen since October 2018. He studied physical Geography in Leipzig and Environmental Management in Bolzano and Innsbruck, where he focused on land-use change, landscape management and ecosystem services.
The topic of his dissertation is about mapping and classifying multifunctional landscapes and identifying spatial links between quality products and landscape change. He graduated from his master studies with a research project in Jordan on identifying economic instruments for ecosystem service protection.
In the winter semester, Lukas contributes to the course on “Participatory research methods for sustainability” at the University of Kassel/Witzenhausen and to the course “Nachhaltiges Landmanagement” at the University of Göttingen.
