You "sort of slipped into that postdoc role" – quite deliberately. Congratulations, Jonas Gottschalk-Rayling!

We congratulate Jonas Gottschalk-Rayling on the successful completion of his dissertation, titled „'I sort of just slipped into that postdoc role.' Reconstructing postdoctoral career trajectories as subjective experiences”.

Jonas was already a member of the DFG research group,  during the first funding phase in the subproject team “How to become competitive. Academic socialization at the postdoc stage”, followed by the current project “Internationality in competition: foreignness and conversion in postdoc careers“. His dedication during both phases of the project has now culminated in a doctoral dissertation that was awarded a “magna cum laude” distinction.
