  • They must not suffer any disadvantages as a result of exercising this right to lodge a complaint. This also applies to persons who support those affected or act as witnesses.

Advice and help for women

The "Violence against women" helpline has been offering low-threshold advice and support for women in need for ten years. To mark the anniversary, the existing telephone number will be shortened and simplified. The previous number 08000 116 016 will remain available in parallel for at least another year.

From June 1, the helpline in Germany will be available around the clock under the number 116016.
