Program of Study

On the topic of "Global Environment needs Technology? The Matrix of the 21st Century" the University of Kassel will offer the following areas of study (modules):
 

Environmental Engineering (in English):

• Sustainable Building and Planning
• Water and Environment

Civil Engineering (in English):

• Introduction to Earthquake Engineering (40 hours)
   

Integrative Environmental Studies (in English)

• Analyzing and Modeling Environmental and Social Systems
  

Business & Politics (in English):

• Environmentally Sustainable Business
   

Interactive German Studies & Cultural Studies:

• German History and Politics of the 20th Century, incl. field trips (in English)
• Deutsche Geschichte und Politik im 20. Jh., inkl. Exkursionen (in German)
• Intercultural Communication (in English)
  

All seminars will be taught by selected faculty members from the respective disciplines mentioned above. Classes meet daily in the mornings or afternoons respectively. Each seminar consists of 20 hours.

You can participate in up to 2 seminars.

Please note: The Eathquake Engineering seminar consists of 40 hours /6 ECTS-credits. If you attend this seminar, you can't choose a second one.

Tuition will cover the costs of two seminars of your choice.
