From now on, access to ChatGPT and other language models is no longer via the previous site of the University of Kassel, but via a new platform called Chat-AI of the GWDG. This can be accessed at:

https://chat-ai.academiccloud.de

The new platform offers a clearer presentation, a larger selection of language models - including newer versions of ChatGPT and models from other providers - as well as additional functions. Your login data will remain protected and will not be passed on to the providers of the language models. As before, the service can be used free of charge by all students and employees of the University of Kassel. Further information on registration and use can be found further down on this page.

The University of Kassel offers all members of staff and students the opportunity to use basic functions of various AI language models free of charge. The service uses the GWDG's Chat-AI interface. Users do not need any additional login data, but can log in with their respective UniAccount. Authentication takes place entirely with servers of the University of Kassel. Among other things, the service is intended to give university members the opportunity to integrate generative AI into their work processes and to evaluate its benefits in research and teaching. Different language models from different providers can be used.

The service is available at https://chat-ai.academiccloud.de for all employees and students of the University of Kassel.
