Presentations with DFNconf-Pexip

Here you can find out how to show a PowerPoint presentation, a PDF document or images (in JPG format) during a video conference with Pexip, or how to share your entire screen or individual windows on it for viewing.

When working with a workstation computer or notebook, the problem arises of being able to follow and, if necessary, control the ongoing conference (camera images of the participants) and present your own PowerPoint slides or files (pdf, jpg) at the same time.

In DFNconf conferences, a separate data channel is available for the transmission of screen content or presentations.

The use of the Google Chrome web browser is particularly recommended for presentations. A powerful browser plugin (software extension) is available here for sharing the screen, which is automatically installed the first time it is used.

In the following examples, the image and details of "Th. Abel (Uni Kassel)" represent the conference participant who is presenting, "Hase" represents another participant or a group of other participants.
