It was a real pleasure to welcome Prof. George Pharr to our group for a short but inspiring visit. We used the opportunity to show him around our new labs and share some of our latest research. Our discussions on recent developments in nanoindentation were both insightful and exciting, sharing our respective experiences
Prof. Pharr showed a keen interest in our work and provided thoughtful insights that sparked new ideas. One of the highlights of his visit was his invited lecture on nanoindentation at our institute’s Materials Colloquium. The talk was not only well-attended but also incredibly engaging, sparking lively discussions and great questions from the audience. This was a truly enjoyable and enriching experience.
A distinguished professor at Texas A&M University and a member of the National Academy of Engineering, Prof. Pharr is a leading figure in the field of nanoindentation. His seminal publication has shaped the field and has been cited over 20 000 times.
