TechTalks: Plastics
On April 28, 2026, the TechTalks Plastics event took place, focusing on the topic of “Digitalization.” We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants and speakers for a successful afternoon featuring engaging technical presentations and in-depth discussions.
We were particularly pleased by the interest shown by the industry. Among those in attendance were representatives from VolaPlast GmbH & Co. KG, TI Automotive, Tramaco, ARBURG GmbH + Co. KG, the B. Braun Group, Technoform, Druck- und Spritzgusswerk Hettich GmbH, and ENLYZE.
The focus was on current approaches in digital plastics technology—ranging from quality assurance through machine learning to practical process data collection in injection molding, as well as concepts for the digital factory and successful shop floor digitization.
The live demonstrations at the Plastics Engineering Department’s technical center offered a hands-on experience: Julius Scheuber from ENLYZE provided a firsthand look at how machine data integration works on a twin-screw extruder, while Marco Klute and Oliver Kempf demonstrated processdataacquisition and data-driven quality monitoring on the injection molding machines from ARBURG GmbH + Co KG.
Thank you very much for the many insights and the open exchange between research and industry—we look forward to continuing this dialogue!
