100th Anniversary of the DKG (German Rubber Society)
On September 24 and 25, 2026, the DKG (German Rubber Society) celebrated its 100th anniversary in Fulda. The society was founded in Düsseldorf in 1926 by renowned polymer chemists and engineers to share scientific findings and promote research in the field of rubbers.
Dr.-Ing. Ralf-Urs Giesen attended the successful event, as the IfW also benefits from the DKG’s network. As part of research in the field of silicone rubbers, projects are submitted to and supervised by the DKG through the Industrial Collaborative Research program. In addition, the DKG organizes the DKT rubber trade fair and conference every three years in Nuremberg, in which the UNIpace Application Center has regularly participated since 2018 with an exhibition booth and presentations.
