For the second time, Wacker Chemie AG hosted an industry gathering in Burghausen on June 10 and 11, 2026, focusing on hard silicone rubber (HCR). Approximately 140 participants attended an engaging conference program featuring presentations on processing, regulatory issues, and applications.
The Department of Plastics Engineering—UNIpace was represented by Dr.-Ing. Ralf-Urs Giesen and Kevin Klier. Mr. Klier gave a presentation titled “Influence of Different Thermally Conductive Fillers in HCR.” In addition to the technical program, there was also a guided tour of the castle and an evening event at Raitenhaslach Abbey.
