Part-time position with half the working hours of a full-time employee. This is a fixed term-position ending October 31st, 2021 as it is part of the research project “BeSmart – Smart-metering and dynamic electricity tariffing: Energy consumption choices, regulatory policies and welfare effects” (§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG). It includes the opportunity to work on a PhD project. It is intended to increase the working time to 75 per cent of the standard weekly working time.

 

Tasks:

  • academic research within the research project “BeSmart – Smart-metering and dynamic electricity tariffing: Energy consumption choices, regulatory policies and welfare effects”
  • in case of the intended increase of the working time: research and teaching assistance in the research group “Foundations of Law, Private Law and Law and Economics”

 

Requirements:

  • master degree in economics with good or very good grades or in legal studies with equivalent grades or in an similar field (by the time the position starts)
  • good knowledge of oral and written English and German

 

Of advantage:

  • knowledge in the economic analysis of law
  • for economists: good legal knowledge, for lawyers: good knowledge of economics
  • willingness and ability to work carefully and independently
  • strong organizational abilities
  • experience in interdisciplinary research
  • knowledge of data-protection law
