Research Assistant (m/w/d, EG 13 TV-H), 50% part time (20 hours per week) - Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences

Part-time position with half the working hours of a full-time employee. This is a fixed term-position of three years with the possibility of extending the contract for a further two years (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; opportunity for PhD project).

Tasks:

  • Development of individual and cooperative research in the area of institutional analysis of the organic agricultural sector for the purpose of obtaining a Ph.D.
  • Services in research and teaching (1,5 hours per term) on issues related to the profile of the section and further development of the working areas of the section

 

Requirements:

  • Good or very good conclusion of a course of academic study (Master degree) within the field of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance (e.g. agricultural sciences or rural studies with a social science focus, Agricultural, Environmental and / or Resource Economics, Political Sciences, Geography, etc.)
  • Fluent in English in writing and speaking
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Experience with autonomous research work

 

Advantageous are:

  • Interest and previous knowledge of institutional analysis and research on the European Organic Farming Sector in the context of social-ecological transformation research
  • Experiences with acquiring third party funding and working in projects
  • Teaching experience
  • Openness and experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Fluency in German
