We are seeking an artist who can demonstrate an internationally successful, contemporary practice in the thematic area of “Performance, Installation, Media”, concentrating on current social developments.

Both the wide range of current artistic positions as well as the candidate´s own particular interests should serve as the starting point for his or her artistic and multimedial teaching practice.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate teaching experience.

Successful candidates must be able to meet the following requirements:

  • Outstanding and original artistic work,
  • multiple years of experience with international exhibitions,
  • willingness to teach across classes as well as across disciplines,
  • willingness to take part in the further development of the Kunsthochschule.
  • meaningful complement to the existing teaching positions at the Kunsthochschule,
  • strengthening the national and international renown of the Kunsthochschule.

 

Transcultural practice is particularly welcome.

The profile of the Kunsthochschule includes direct proximity to the study programs of art, art education, art history, visual communication, and product design, and direct mutual exchange and cooperation with the workshops. Participation in academic self-administration is expected.

 

The employment and performance requirements apply pursuant to §§ 61, 62 of the Higher Education Act of Hessen. The position can potentially be shared.
