The professor, in teaching and research, will deal with questions of architecture in its typological, constructional-spatial. socio-economic, cultural and aesthetic dimensions, where urban design and urban planning intersect.
Within the framework of the curriculum the professor will teach, at a basic and advanced level, architecture and urban design, supervise design introduction studios, design projects and degree theses in the Bachelor and Master programmes and be responsible for the advanced Master study of urban design in the architecture department. Willingness to co-operate with the Departments of Urban and Landscape Planning is required.
Those considered for the position will be architects with outstanding design and planning achievements, who have long experience in professional and design practice also outside the university. Particular value is attached to independent conceptually strong architectonic and urban planning work as well as knowledge and practical experience of various building and city typologies. Experience of research and third party funding is desirable.
Suitable applicants will be outstanding in the fields of theory and practice, if possible at an international level, and must be able to give evidence of relevant teaching experience.
