Partly joining the project "How cellular clocks control biological functions " the following place is to be filled: Research Assistant (m/w/d), EG 13 TV-H at the research unit Macromolecular Chemistry and Molecular Materials.

Part-time position with half the working hours of a full-time employee; temporary employment for 32 months with the possibility of extension (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i.V.m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; opportunity for PhD project).

 

Specification:

Modelling and investigation of synchronized cycles in microalgae on different time- and lengthscales. Active participation in the interdisciplinary graduate programme „How cellular clocks control biological functions“ and services in research and teaching of the subject area (Bio-)Physical Chemistry / Nanoscience.

 

Requirements:

Completed course of academic study in nanoscience or a related subject. Good knowledge in microbiology / phycology and/or physical chemistry. Programming skills are advantageous. The ability for analytical thinking, independent and interdisciplinary working as well as good proficiency in English and oral and written communication skills are expected.
