Get that Job! Applying and Interviewing for Jobs in English (in Witzenhausen)

Considering career opportunities with internationally orientated firms? Then you may need to submit application materials and participate in interviews in English.

This workshop focuses on distinctive aspects of applying for jobs with any organization worldwide which follows Anglo-American hiring conventions. It provides training in navigating selected stages of that process, including creating your curriculum vitae and cover letter and presenting yourself convincingly in the interview. In addition, we will cover possible job-search platforms in Germany, including several of particular relevance to job-seekers in the agriculture and nutrition industries. The workshop is held in English by a native speaker.

Lecturer: Andrew Cerniski has been training university students in job-application skills for over fifteen years. For ten years he was head of the Business English department of the Frankfurt branch of City University of Bellevue, Washington State. Since 2002 he has managed English, Inc., a Heidelberg-based provider of business English training to companies. He holds degrees in English literature, creative writing and business administration.
